Boy, 11, fighting for life after being 'shot in face and neck' in Australia Police are investigating as a boy, 11, is in critical condition after he was shot in the face and neck inside a house with people fleeing before officers arrived A boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the face inside a home in Sydney. The 11-year-old was shot at around 5pm on Monday, September 21 and remains in hospital in critical condition. The force were called to a property on Fairway Drive, Norwest, after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they found that an 11-year-old boy had been shot in the face and neck. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Five other people who were in the home at the time of the shooting are uninjured, police report. A 43-year-old woman was present at the time of the shooting, believed to be the child's mother. Isaac Bechara, 18, has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence, with two other men, both aged 18, released from custody after being questioned by police. Addressing the media, Superintendent Naomi Moore said that some of the people in the property are not cooperating and police are looking to find them. "A number of people did leave before the police arrived, and we are hoping to speak to them shortly," she said. They are known to police and the force are investigating whether the incident has links to organised crime. Officers are also yet to locate a weapon. Moore added that the force have not been able to speak to the 11-year-old yet due to his condition. She added: "Police have engaged with the occupants of the property previously." Investigations into the incident are continuing.
