Log in President Trump has declared that he is a “frickin’ genius” – bragging about passing a memory test in a swear-laden rant as part of an appearance in Arizona. Trump, 80, boasted about his mental prowess during a rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday as he sought to drum up support for Representative Andy Biggs to replace incumbent Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs. The commander-in-chief made a series of claims about his health and claiming that his friend looked like “s***.” The president has often touted his ability to pass cognitive exams. At Wednesday’s rally, he explained to the crowd that doctors told him to remember five words before asking him to recall them after “25, 30 other questions.” “Hat, hair, logo, white, black,” Trump said, choosing five words before repeating them. “And they go: ‘Holy s***,’” he claimed, supposedly quoting medics. “When I told the fake news about that: ‘Oh that’s so easy.’” “Nobody can do that. Very few people can do that. They say very few people can do it, but almost none can do them in order like that,” he said. Trump went on to declare: “But I can. You know why? Because I’m a frickin’ genius, that’s why.” Trump’s rant about cognitive testing began with a criticism of Governor Hobbs, who is running against Representative Biggs in the gubernatorial race. The president has thrown his weight behind a series of Republican campaigns ahead of the midterm elections, as his party faces grim polling figures. “Katie Hobbs is someone who could not pass the test,” Trump claimed. Then, he insisted that he had “aced” his cognitive tests. Trump later revealed what his doctors supposedly call attendees who fall sick at his rallies and even took a swipe at a supposed friend in the audience. “Where’s my doctor? Is he around? I travel with more doctors than…” Trump began. “If people get sick in the audience, they leave them alone. You know what they call them?” Answering his own question, Trump said: “Collateral damage.” “If that person right over there, friend of mine, he looks like s*** actually, he looks like he’s ready to have a heart attack,” the president said. The quip drew laughs from the crowd, with several audience members holding signs looking around to those around them. “If he actually had a heart attack, you know what my doctors would do?” Trump asked. “They’d follow the president, all presidents. They’d leave him alone.” Trump went on to claim that the doctors would describe his friend as “collateral damage.” Join our commenting forum Join thought-provoking conversations, follow other Independent readers and see their replies Comments
