An alert issued by the Food Standards Agency said the items could contain glass and were therefore unsafe to eat. It said the products could be returned for a refund, with no receipt needed. Arla Foods Ltd is recalling various Arla Protein Pudding products, the FSA said. It listed three products with specific best-before dates that are affected. The first is Arla Protein Pudding, Chocolate flavour, with a pack size of 200g and best-before dates of January 11, 18 and 20 and February 6, 2027. The second is Arla Protein Pudding, Salted Caramel flavour, with a pack size of 200g and best-before dates of January 21, 23 and 31 and February 2, 2027. Finally, the Arla Protein Pudding, Vanilla Cookie flavour, with a pack size of 200g and a best-before date of January 25, 2027, is affected by the recall. The FSA said: "These products may contain glass, which makes them unsafe to eat. Arla Foods Ltd is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. "If you have bought the above products, do not eat them. Instead, return them to where you bought them from for a full refund. For further information, please contact 01133 827009 or [email protected]." About product recalls and withdrawals The FSA explained that, if there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' - taken off the shelves - or 'recalled' - when customers are asked to return the product. It added: "The FSA issues Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food. In some cases, a 'Food Alert for Action' is issued. This provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers."
