The vice president was campaigning in support of conservative congressional candidates Anthony Constantino and Kailee Buller in Rome, New York, ahead of the midterms when he told a crowd about a conversation he had with his daughter, Mirabel. Vance recalled: “I said, ‘Honey, we will start getting ready for our toy drive... I want you to identify a couple of toys you would like to donate here. So she brings me two of her brothers' toys. And I realize that despite my best efforts, ladies and gentlemen, I have apparently raised a Democrat. “Stealing her brother's toys to give to somebody else.”
