Gotham car crash - girl, 4, dies after collision and driver arrested Emergency services were called to Nottingham Road in Gotham, Nottinghamshire, but the girl died in hospital a short time later, police said A four-year-old girl has died after a collision with a car in Nottinghamshire. The incident took place on Sunday just before 2.30pm on Nottingham Road, Gotham. The girl was taken to hospital, where she died a short time later. A man aged 59 has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been questioned and bailed. An investigation led by Nottinghamshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now underway. The force has appealed for witnesses, including anyone driving in the vicinity of the crash at the time of the incident, to come forward. Sergeant Paul Clark said: "This is a deeply tragic incident and our thoughts are with the young girl's loved ones at this unimaginably difficult time. The circumstances are being investigated and we would ask people not to speculate on social media. "I would also ask the privacy of the family is respected as they come to terms with what has happened. We’d like to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward, including anyone with dashcam footage which could help our investigation.
